– While PokerStars has reentered the regulated Czech Republic market, Party Poker is leaving, at least temporarily. Party Poker has been working with Czech authorities to operate in the market, which it hopes to do soon.
– Online poker in New York clears its first hurdle on Tuesday as the NY Senate Racing, Gaming and Wagering Committee passed an online poker bill. The legislation would classify poker as a game of skill. The bill now head on over to the Senate Finance Committee.
